I actually really enjoyed a recent video Microsoft released as part of an ‘Envisioning the Future’ campaign. It’s fun to throw out hypothetical applications of current and predicted technology. I’m all for it.

So, it’s all in good fun (though I’m not sure that will be enough to keep it up on YouTube for more than a day) that I created a spoof video highlighting some of Vista’s well-known bugs. Keep your eyes open for the following:

  1. Spinning (waiting) mouse cursor animation - Representing how a new Dell XPS can still get bogged down with some poor OS issues.
  2. The BLUE SCREEN o’ Death! - Because it wouldn’t be complete without it.
  3. That annoying ‘hardware found’ followed by the ‘hardware lost’ followed by ‘nope, found it again’ sound set that I always hear when I connect a new device.
  4. The ‘User permission needed’ popup window that shows up at least once an hour for some reason in Vista.
  5. A classic mugshot of Mr. Gates.

Anyway, hope you enjoy it. I need to find a new hobby.
